Early developmental problems

Consultation for toddlers

At the Forez Hospital Centre, you can have access to an consultation for toddlers for children between 0 and 3 years old. Admission can be provided during pregnancy if there is a suspected or attested psychological disorder, if there is a need for support due to a physical complication, or if an event such as separation, change, or bereavement has occurred.

After pregnancy, this unit can intervene around the early parent/baby relationship, parental pathologies or couple problems, difficulties in adjusting the parent/baby relationship, somatic disorders, repeated hospitalizations, crying, precarious or particular social situations. From one year of age, there may also be concerns around unresolved disorders of the first year, sleep disorders and eating disorders as well as delayed psychomotor development.

Coup de pouce (boost)

Coup de pouce is a programme of the APAJH (Adults and Young People with Disabilities) Association which aims to improve early detection and management of psychological, motor, learning and sensory disorders in children between 0 and 4 years old. To this end, several actions are carried out such as screening, prevention through the sharing of tools and awareness-raising, referrals to more specialized establishments and interventions with, for example, adjustments in the living space or in socialization.

CAMSP (Early Medical-Social Action Centre)

A CAMSP supports children aged 0 to 6 who experience difficulties due to delayed motor or psychomotor development, a deficit, a handicap, an illness or without associated disorders.

CAMSP provide screening, diagnosis, care, support and guidance for parenting, and assistance with socialization and schooling, and they also play a role in directing people towards appropriate structures depending on the child’s progress after a diagnosis or after follow-up.
